Dr. Lewis Aptekar is a retired professor who graduated with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Michigan and completed his Post-Doctoral Residency in Clinical Psychology at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine between in 1986. He has decades of experience, numerous awards to his name and an excellent reputation as a teacher. Though he retired in 2016, he still loves teaching and helping others, and his published works continue to be held in high regard by scholars.

Lewis Aptekar – who is now resigned from his position in San Jose State University's counselor education – has worked in the field of clinical psychology for more than 20 years. During that span, Dr. Aptekar has worked in a number of roles.
